Yep. You're probably right. Wasn't my vocation. But did give it a little thought after we split. As a kid, it was a common gossip that men and women who entered the religious orders were disappointed failures in love.
But, since my late teens onwards, those were the crazy times.

Yeah, this is interesting. The Law of Moses says, “Penalty for a woman committing adultery is death by stoning”.
Until the '60s, the Law of Moses was never really buried. No. We don't LITERALLY stone her. But she loses face. She's being ostracized. She's called a dissolute woman. Etc. Etc.
But if a man does the same, he becomes a ladies man. The envy of other men. Etc. Etc.
Those people who are hung up on the '60s remember that those were the crazy times. Riots and demonstrations were the fads. Brought the war to the campus. They stopped behaving like they'd all been knocked out of the same stamping plant. They wanted to change things. One of them was the cruel formalities that disadvantaged women.
Girls started wearing mini-skirts. Later, became micro-mini. Eventually, feminism was born. While feminist extremists kept lobbying for more rights for women, men simply stayed home watching porno shows or elsewhere busy with their kabits.
When men finally “woke up”, laws have been established such that women have become more equal than men. As mentioned, in divorce, wife dictates the terms and husband has to go thru all that hassle of going to Court to claim his rayt.
Now, we have this Father’s Right Movement. Still a long way to go.
