Socialize with people inside the mine via networking. When you go to tart's internet cafe @6pm will be 8pm (9pm dst) here. Instead of magwak2X ka playing games, web chat with them. Pili-a ang mga chicks. They're lonely and would be more interested in chatting with you as you'll be telling something different. Unlike fellow workers in the mine kc everyone will merely be reiterating the happenings of the day -- boring.
Sooner or later, will be easier for you to ask about life in the mines, job openings, etc.
Just a word of precaution -- don't ask for money. They don't like it. Nobody does.
