Once again, making some analysis. ;)

She’s smart and shrewd and ambitious. No doubt about it. She answered that way to endear her all the more to Pinoys. And succeeded overwhelmingly. More important for her than pleasing the outside world. Someday, should she enter into politics, gonna look mighty good on her. Won’t be surprised if someone’s grooming her. And, of course, in politics, one needs lots of money. Marrying her rich bf will solve the problem.
Makes sense, doesn’t it? Hehehe. ;)

Sports is different. The rules of the game is the same all over the world. Play tennis in the Phil, USA, wherever, the rules don’t change. The international committee changed the rules. Phil automatically follow. Same with boxing.
Not easy when it comes to Phil cultural values and attitudes. Once again, the onus is on us o/s Pinoys to educate people back home that the world has changed.
