Pizza: Yes, the Oscars do drag on, and yes, it was a funny sketch, but we didn't really expect to see Brad Pitt et al nomming on pizza during the show.

Hypnotic: Harrison Ford introduced a montage of 'Best Picture' nominees with a nervous, half-asleep, monosylabic speech. Also, that earring?

Sack the stylist: Looks like inexplicably ubiquitous red carpet host Ryan Seacrest has been taking tips from a certain archeologist.

The second coming: Jared Leto didn't just look like Jesus on the night, he also promised to help the oppressed in Ukraine and Venezuela.

Shake it: The BAFTAs had Tinie Tempah high-fiving Prince William, the Oscars had to make do with Meryl Streep shimmying with Pharrell.

Cut short: Alfonso Cuaron and Mark Sanger went up to collect the gong for Best Editing. Sanger gave a lovely speech, thanked his wife, handed over to Alfonso... who got cut off before he even began. Bad form.

Lip service: Host Ellen stages an impromptu whip-round using Pharrell's hat to pay for a pizza delivery (?) and poor Lupita Nyong'o only had lip balm to offer.

Awkward: Screenwriter John Ridley didn't thank director Steve McQueen when he collected his Oscar for '12 Years A Slave'. McQueen neglected to thank him in his speech too. Watch Ridley going to collect his award and you'll spot McQueen an awkward forced slow-clap. What's going on there?
