No worries Trish, please read Gabriela Isler's secret before she became a Miss Universe 2013 winner

The Venezuelan beauty, Gabriela Isler was crowned Miss Universe 2013, but now the question is - is the beauty natural or plastic? When we take a look at before and after pictures, it does seem like she has had nose and lip jobs, at least. Isler isn't the only beauty queen who has faced these accusations.

In Venezuela, specially, it's fairly common for beauty queens to get cosmetic surgeries done. Osmel Sousa, known as the "king of beauty" in Venezuela, president of the Miss Venezuela Organization has quite a role to play in defining the standards of beauty in the country.

Under Sousa, Venezuela has won 7 Miss Universe crowns, and 6 each of the Miss World and Miss International titles. However, a vast majority of these girls have been under the knife to carve out the perfect face and body.

While it can be said that beauty queens make this choice, the unfortunate bit is that young girls in Venezuela feel pressurized to meet these unrealistic standards of beauty. Breast augmentation is a common surgical procedure for girls who have barely turned adolescent.

Venezuela does take home a lot of crowns, but is the great importance given to external beauty healthy for the country as a whole?
