Ayu Gani of Indonesia wins the title

MANILA, Philippines – Filipino contestant Monika Sta Maria was declared 1st runner-up of Asia's Next Top Model on Wednesday, June 17.
Ayu Gani of Indonesia won the title. Gani beat Monika and Aimee Rose Cheng-Bradshaw of Singapore to become the winner of the show's third season.
In the finale, Gani walked with Monika and Aimee in a fashion show in Singapore. They also did a photo shoot wearing couture.
During the judging, host Georgina Wilson and the panel commended the ladies for their improvement in the past weeks.
As part of the prize Gani will appear on the cover of Singapore's Harper's Bazaar magazine, drive a Subaru XV STI, become the face of TRESemmé haircare and fly to Europe to model under Storm Models agency.
Monika posted a statement about her runner-up placement on Instagram:
"My reality: Of course It made me sad and disappointed after I really put my heart into giving it my all throughout the season. Coming so close to the title and placing second, of course it broke my heart that it wasn't meant to be, I did it for my dream and honestly I really did want to bring home a title to my country.
I want you all to know that I AM MORE THAN GRATEFULL FOR ALL THE SUPPORT AND LOVE, this blessing is beyond what I expected from the journey I have taken. I read each and every comment and I want to say THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOUR SUPPORT FROM WHICHEVER COUNTRY YOU ARE FROM. Your belief in me keeps reminding me to continue being strong and believe in myself and keep going!
Months after I have learned that it is okay to feel sad in times of defeat. Cry it out, accept the feeling, but most importantly stand up and know that for as long as you continue on your journey, work hard and never give up, trust that there is a greater plan for you!?
