Looking to get replace my Nikon 18?105mm(What should I get)

I have had my 18-105 for ever!!!! Got it when I got my d90 and have been using a d7100 and want to get something better but generally the same as the 18-105. I basically want something that does the same as the 18-105 but isn't a kit lens, something with better glass,sharper. Would the 18-140 be good? Any advice would be greatly helpful.
